- "No entry north"
- The road on the north side of that corner is closed. You can't drive north into it from the corner. Turn and go another way. Same idea for east, south and west. On the map it's the red stretch of road with an arrow.
- "No entry"
- That stretch of road is fully closed. No cars at all.
- "Commencing at 16:00 hrs"
- Starting at 4:00 PM. "hrs" means 24-hour time: 10:00 = 10 AM, 13:30 = 1:30 PM, 16:00 = 4 PM.
- "Traffic diversion" / "Detour"
- Police send you a different way around the closed road.
- "Convoy"
- The line of cars carrying the King and his team. Roads may be held for a few minutes while it passes.
- "Restrictions may be imposed"
- It might close, at short notice. On the map these are amber.
- "Lifted when it is safe to do so"
- There is no fixed reopening time. The road reopens when police decide. This map assumes each venue's roads reopen once the King is two stops further along, so only 2–3 venues are closed at a time. For the safest view, choose "until end of day" under "Assume closures last".
- "Operationally necessary"
- Whenever police decide it's needed on the day.
- "Motorists" / "Dignitaries" / "Vicinity"
- Drivers / important visitors / the nearby area.
